Coaching Program Outline

Designed to be a completely customizable experience, your True Course coaching program will be developed through a collaborative effort between you and your True Course Ministries professional. Our primary purpose is to help you excel as a minister and throughout your life in ministry. In addition to any personalized elements that you may choose to include, your plan will feature:

  • Complimentary Consultation
    • Face-to-face meeting with a True Course professional
    • Overview of the True Course coaching experience
    • Discussion of your individual concerns or questions
    • Work together with a True Course professional to develop your basic needs assessment
  • Getting Started:  Beginning your Coaching Program
    • Solidify an agreement for your coaching experience
    • Discuss your needs in detail with your coach
    • Collaborate and strategize with your coach to outline the goals for your True Course experience

Your True Course Process:  Basic Principles

  • On-going program principles and communication with your coach, including:
    • In-person meetings with your coach 2-4 times a month
    • Coaching sessions that are conducive to your needs, schedule, and current clergy environment
    • Ongoing adherence to and evaluation of program needs and outline
    • Final evaluation

Your Coach's Role and Responsibilities

  • Support you through face-to-face meetings, and phone and e-mail accessibility in between sessions; web and video conferencing are also available
  • Help you pinpoint exact issues and constructively analyze your ministry situations
  • Prompt you to discover the answers to particular issues through the application of a series of questions and productive steps
  • Encourage you to consistently set goals
  • Focus on immediate problem-solving, as well as life and ministry enrichment
  • Periodically evaluate your progress and make any necessary adjustments
  • Offer a source of accountability and encouragement
  • Create an environment conducive for learning and self-discovery
  • Demonstrate utmost respect and confidentiality for you as a growing individual and clergy

Through your True Course coaching experience and regular meetings and correspondence with your coach, you will learn to:

  • Practice discernment while you exercise problem-solving tactics
  • Gather essential, problem-solving information
  • Learn ways to make wiser decisions
  • Identify hindrances that challenge your productivity and personal achievements
  • Navigate uncertain situations
  • Become familiar with various personalities and behavior patterns
